Shearforce Equipment, long time dealer for LaBounty attachments in western Canada, has added four new ranges of scrap magnet attachments to its product offering. According to president Brad Dewit: “The addition of these new ShearForce magnets to our current lineup will better enable us to service our scrap recycling and demolition customers across Canada.” With their addition, ShearForce now can provide customers with the full range of hydraulic scrap attachments, including grapples, shears and blade kits, and now magnets.
Four models make up the fully enclosed hydraulic magnet offering, from the HMG 38 weighing 802 kg (1,764 lb) for 12.7 to 15.5 tonne carriers through to the 1,380 kg (3,307 lb) HMG 50 for 23.6-29 tonne carriers. These are heavy duty magnets ideally well suited to the demolition role and any other application requiring quick-change attachments. Similarly, four models make up the company’s new hydraulic magnets with teeth offering, from the HMG-T 38 through to the HMG-T 50, covering the same carrier weight range. These are supplied with two sets of extended claws designed to loosen dirt, gravel and other debris to provide access to metal debris.
Three battery powered magnets are intended for applications where a power supply is not possible, with power being supplied from the carrier’s 24 V battery. These are the 280 kg (617 lb) BMG 26, the 867 kg (1,907 lb) BMG 36 and the 1,403 kg (3,086 lb) BMG 50, with the three covering the 4.5 to 31.8 tonne carrier range. Finally, a further three heavy duty electromagnets complete the product addition, in the shape of the 481 kg (1,058 lb) EMG 32, 852 kg (1,874 lb) EMG 46 and the 1,841 kg (4,409 lb) EMG 60 covering the 7.3 to 38.1 tonne carrier range.
