Glasgow belongs to the EDA in June

The European Demolition Association (EDA) has outlined the preliminary programme for its annual convention, which this year takes place in Glasgow, Scotland from June 9 to 11.

The programme of presentations, on Friday June 10, features projects including the demolition of London’s Earl’s Court exhibition centres; dealing with the wreck of the Concordia cruise ship at the Italian port of Genoa; preparing three skyscrapers for demolition in Cologne, Germany; and decontaminating heavy metals.

Among a high profile list of speakers are Andreas Pocha of the German Demolition Association, Thorsten Hesselbein of Liebherr and Angleliki Kolouri of ACR+.

In addition to the presentations there will be a cocktail event on Thursday 9 June, with a dinner the next event.
