Harsco to unveil three formwork systems

25 January 2011

Harsco Infrastructure will be using bC India to introduce three new products to the Indian market Topec, its slab formwork system, Manto, its heavy-duty wall form system and its Lightshore shoring system.

Topec is a well-proven system for forming slabs up to 400 mm thick with large 1.8 m2 panels. Slabs as thick as 750 mm can be poured with smaller panels, and support is provided by either the company's 'Europlus' tubular steel props or 'Gass' aluminium legs. A team of just three to four workers is usually sufficient to set up Topec forms at heights of up to 3.5 m, and the small number of main components - just a panel, prop and bearing - mean the system is easy to use.

Manto is a robust, heavy-duty, wall formwork panel system designed for high productivity concrete construction. Panels are available in a range of sizes from 300 x 1200mm to 2400 x 3300mm, as well as columns and single-sided formwork, and they can withstand concrete pressures up to 80 kN/m2.

The system features a self-aligning panel connection clamp that ensures fast assembly with tight joints, and the rigidity and strength of the connection bracket permits the creation of large panel assemblies that can be crane-handled without additional reinforcement.

Lightshore meanwhile represents a step forward in shoring technology, with a design that is both lightweight and simple to erect. This makes it economical and safe to handle, but with a load capacity of up to 110 kN, which is sufficient for residential, commercial and industrial projects.
