Acarlar Makine, Haulotte’s distributor in Turkey, has supplied several units in the last few months to the high speed railway station being built in Ankara.

The mostly commonly used Haulotte platforms on the site were H15SX & H18SX diesel scissor lifts, the diesel articulated HA18SPX and the 43m H43TPX diesel telescopic boom.

Haulotte H15SX and H18SX have double extension with up to 500kg capacity and 4WD hydraulic differential lock greatly improves the traction on rough terrain handling. The HA18SPX offers 360° continuous rotation and the H43TPX is designed to reach difficult working areas.

In addition to the high speed train, Haulotte and Acarlar are contributing to other major infrastructure projects in Turkey. One of them, Osman Gazi bridge has just been completed with the installation of the last bridge deck. The bridge will be the fourth longest suspension bridge in the world and will cut the travel time between Istanbul and İzmir from nine hours to three-and-a-half. The construction of the bridge started in 2013 and it is expected to be opened mid-2016.

Many Haulotte electric and diesel scissors have been used to build the bridge and install and fix the steel beams. They include the Compact 12 with its 450kg capacity as well as several HA41PX-NT units.
