Trailer Consult i Östergötland AB in Sweden has been acquired by Havator Transport, part of the Havator Group.

All shares have been acquired in Trailer Consult, a heavy and specialized transport company which has a turnover of SEK 19 million (US$ 2.7 million). All 11 employees will stay on. A fleet including 11 tow vehicles and 14 trailers is transferred to Havator Transport. Around half the fleet serves heavy and special transport and four of the tow vehicles have loader cranes.

Havator and Trailer Consult have a history of working together, the latter as a subcontractor on local transport and moving Havato cranes. "We have long experience of co-operation with Havator. I see excellent possibilities to further develop our operation as part of a large group," said Kenneth Wall, Trailer Consult managing director.

"The acquisition is a significant step in developing our special transport business in Sweden and Havator Transport's growth strategy," said Timo Riiho, havator Transport managing director.

"The acquisition complements the fleet of Havator Transport in many ways, and we are able to meet better than earlier customer requirements and bigger challenging jobs. Our strength will be the local expertise combined with the extensive depot network of Havator Transport," continued Roy Högberg, Havator Transport business manager.

Havator Group has operations in crane and access equipment rental, specialized transport, section assembly and harbour crane services. It operates in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Russia and the Baltic States. Annual sales are €80 million ($ 106 million) and there are around 530 employees.
