UK rental company Hewden is capitalising on World Cup fever in the country by introducing a range of England-branded equipment for rent.
The range was launched in London at the start of the competition by David Beckham lookalike Andy Harmer. The ‘World Cup' themed equipment includes plant - such as the pictured dumper - cranes, aerial platforms, power and accommodation units.
"The World Cup is a magical sporting occasion and a time when the whole country can come together and get behind England", said Jeff Schofield, Hewden's head of sales and marketing, "Every construction site across the country will be talking football for the next few weeks and through our patriotic equipment Hewden and its customers will be able to show their support for our team in South Africa."
The equipment is available for rent via Hewden's designated ‘footy website', www.hewden.co.uk/football, which also provides a central portal for all the latest World Cup news, live scores and tournament updates.
As part of the campaign, Hewden is holding its own 5-a-side football tournament this month, with over 20 of the construction industry's biggest firms, including Carillion and Balfour Beatty, competing for the title Construction Site Soccer World Champions.
