ADM will use ConExpo to introduce its EX Series asphalt plants with single-drum counterflow technology.

Asphalt Drum Mixers (ADM) will use ConExpo-Con/Agg to introduce its EX Series asphalt plants with single-drum counter flow technology. It said these plants offer high efficiency and a compact design for contractors with low to medium production needs – they produce 100 to 425 tons per hour (91 to 386 tonnes per hour).

The EX Series has separate drying and mixing zones to achieve high levels of heat transfer and fuel efficiency. The system is also said to virtually eliminate unsafe hydrocarbon emissions, by recycling residual gasses back into the combustion zone.

The plants are available in portable or stationary versions with controls that are designed to be sophisticated in their abilities, yet simple to use - the EX Series can be operated by just one operator and one loader operator. The plants are also built with durability and low maintenance in mind, so on-site staff is able to handle most breakdown issues.

Options include cold feed bins, hot oil asphalt cement tanks (both horizontal and vertical), direct-fired horizontal cement tanks, portable and stationary bag houses, mineral filler systems, recycled asphalt pavement (RAP) systems, self-erect and stationary silos, weigh and drag conveyors, weigh batchers and fuel oil tanks.

In addition to the EX Series, ADM also offers its MileMaker, RoadBuilder and SPL Series.
