The mountain, South of Interlaken, Switzerland, is 3,697 m high, meaning the crane had to be dismantled, sent up the mountain by helicopter and reassembled on site. The URW-706 will remain in position for three to four months, after which the crane will be disassembled and taken back down the mountain by helicopter.

The URW-706 is 1.6 m wide, has a 6 tonne lifting capacity and a working radius of 18.6 m.
