Hitachi appoints Repa as Latvian dealer replacing Laadur

Hitachi has announced a new dealer in the Baltic state of Latvia, with Repa SIA succeeding previous dealer Laadur OU with effect from July 2012. Repa, a subsidiary of the MONO Group, is based in Riga with a 280 square metres (3,014 square feet) office and 600 square metres (6,460 square feet) workshops. It has been a distributor from TCM forklift trucks since 1996 and operates a subsidiary in Lithuania and also has partners in Estonia.

Repa managing director Yuri Ivanov said of the deal: ""We are delighted to be the official Hitachi construction machinery dealer for Latvia. The brand is well known in our country, but there is still huge potential to increase market share, particularly in the general construction, road construction and quarrying sectors."

"We have 21 years of experience in the industrial equipment market, so we will initially start by offering Hitachi products to our existing customers. Our future strategy involves participating in domestic trade shows and exhibitions, working directly with potential customers and supporting customers with used Hitachi equipment."
