Horizon Reinforcing and Crane Hire in Falkirk, Scotland has taken delivery of the UK’s first LTM 1250-5.1 mobile crane.

The LTM 1250-5.1 is Horizon’s second new Liebherr machine and will join the existing 10-strong fleet of the company, which supplies all-terrain, city, truck-mounted and self-erecting tower cranes throughout Scotland to clients in markets ranging from ports and harbours to general construction.

A key feature of the LTM 1250-5.1 is its enormous load capacities with VarioBallast enabling the crane to deliver maximum load capacities with a small ballast radius. This is designed to make it perfect for use on constricted sites.

This five-axle crane can be fitted with a multi-functional folding jib or a long fixed jib and Liebherr’s VarioBase system makes the LTM 1250-5.1 particularly effective for lifting operations in locations where space is restricted. The crane also benefits from Liebherr’s ECOmode system, which calculates the best engine speed for the required working speed and gives fuel savings of up to 10 percent.
