Hybrid drive system

25 April 2008

The RunWise hydromechanICal series hybrid drive system is designed to reduce fuel consumption and engine emissions. For use in vehICles that frequently stop and start, the Parker Hannifin system replaces conventional drives with a system that combines hydrostatIC drive for slower journeys with direct drive for high speed.

The system is based on the Parker Power Drive Unit and has brake energy recovery technology that is claimed to reduce brake wear.
