Høydespesialisten adds to access fleet

27 September 2014

Norwegian rental company Høydespesialisten has expanded its access offering with the addition of two new platforms – a Versalift VTX-240 and a Ruthmann Steiger TBR 220 from Time Denmark.

Purchased through Time Denmark’s Norwegian distributor, Brubakken, the two access platforms have been installed on Nissan Cabstar chassis and coated in the characteristic blue colours of the Oslo-based company.

The Versalift VTX-240 is the first model of its kind to arrive in Norway. It offers a maximum working height of 24.2 m and an outreach of 12.5 m. The platform offers two 3-stage telescopic booms, which allows the lift to reach up and over flat rooftops or access to worksites located below ground level.

The Ruthmann Steiger TBR 220 offers a 22 m working height and a 16.4 m outreach. The German manufactured platform has a more conventional boom design with a 4-stage telescopic main boom and a 185° flyboom/jib making it suitable for a wide array of challenges.

Both access platform vehicles feature electro-hydraulic control systems with automated lift setup and packing programs, and they are both available for operators with a class B driver’s licence.
