IAPS Group launched a new division specialising in the service, inspection and repair of powered access platforms at Vertikal Days in June.

Platform Service & Repair (PSR) offers preventative and scheduled maintenance, breakdown service and fully equipped workshops for refurbishing used equipment.

PSR is comprised of the combined service teams of Independent Parts & Service and Access Platform Sales, the two companies that merged to form the IAPS Group in late 2012. The new business unit has a team of 23 fully equipped mobile service engineers covering the UK. They are supported by three workshops in the West Midlands, South East England and Scotland.

Kevin Shadbolt, operations director for IAPS Group Ltd, said: “We have been servicing and repairing powered access platforms for over 10 years under the IPS name.

“Due to the growth of our business through the merger of IPS and APS, we feel the time is right for service to have its own brand, separate from replacement parts. So PSR now does exactly what it says on the tin – we service and repair powered access platforms.”

PSR is also offering machinery owners a free online service reminder facility. Companies simply enter the machine details into an online form and one month before the next service is due, PSR sends out an email reminder.
