TTS used a 400 tonne gantry to install piercaps at the Dubai Metro Project. A conventional crane could not be used due to obstructions, including low powerlines and bridges. The gantry was mounted on a skid and equipped with a side-shift system. This allowed TTS to manoeuvre the peircaps in longitudinal and transverse directions, positioning them within a 5mm tolerance.
