Marcelo Odebrecht and Octavio Azevedo Marquez were taken into custody as part of the Operation Lava Jato (Operation Carwash) investigation into corruption at Brazilian state oil company Petrobras.
In business news we look at plans by China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) to spin-off its dredging business, with a listing of tradable shares on the Hong-Kong Stock Exchange. This would be the largest dredging contractor in the world in revenue terms.
