IPAF's Brazilian Country Council meet

IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) has established the IPAF Brazilian Country Council during its first general meeting of Brazilian members. This first meeting was held at the end of May in Sao Paulo. The IPAF Brazilian Country Council is a national council that will be in charge of establishing national activities which underpin and promote the safe use of powered access.

Romina Vanzi, IPAF's representative in Latin America said, "The market in Brazil is growing fast and the Council has many tasks to carry out in the next months. The Brazilian legislation concerning mobile elevating work platforms is about to be reviewed soon and the IPAF Brazilian Country Council has been requested to actively participate in the change process and contribute on revisions required to the relevant legislation."

IPAF's president, Wayne Lawson of JLG said, "The constitution of the IPAF Brazilian Country Council is a hugely important step in the development of the work of IPAF. IPAF country councils aim to involve members-identifying local requirements, emphasising the safe use of powered access, promoting the industry as a whole and giving members a stake in charting the course. The foundation of the IPAF Brazilian Country Council signals commitment to addressing issues of safety and best practice in the use of powered access in the region. I look forward to working with the members of this Council."

The IPAF Brazilian Country Council was elected as follows:

Marcelo Yamane, Mills Rental (chairman)

Roland Colombari-Solaris (vice-chairman)

Fabio Cunzolo, Cunzolo Rental

Rafael Bazzarella, Skyjack

Rafael Cardoso, Genie

Renato Fernandes de Almeida, Riwal do Brasil

Romina Vanzi, IPAF Latin America (convenor)
