Replacement parts specialist IPS is offering a safer and easier way for powered access users to store their tools.
The Tool Bin is designed to fit onto the corner of the platform rails and is a universal design, working with scissor lifts, booms and personnel lifts. It enables workers to quickly and easily organise their hand tools when working at height.
Key health and safety benefits include an end to trailing leads; no more trip hazard from tools on the platform floor; and less back strain from constantly bending down to pick up or put down equipment.
Made out of tough reinforced polypropylene UV-protected plastic, it is lightweight and durable. Features include three compartments with removable partitions, a magnetic tray for holding parts in place, and brackets that enable workers to mount their tool belts on the front of the bin.
The Tool Bin can be attached to almost any platform with just two locking bolts. It is suitable for attaching to square or rounded railings of the platform basket, while the corner location makes it unobtrusive as well as secure.
Kevin Shadbolt, operations director for IAPS Group which owns IPS, said: “The Tool Bin is a great way to organise your tools and parts, helping you to work safely and efficiently at height.
“It contains plenty of storage space for parts and hand tools, meaning no more tools littering the deck of the platform reducing the risk of a trip or items falling from the platform.
