Online auctioneer IronPlanet has named Debbie Schleicher as its new chief financial officer (CFO). Schleicher most recently served as the National Partner in Charge of Grant Thornton's Tax and Finance Optimization and Global Compliance Reporting practices where she was responsible for leading teams that worked to enhance compliance and reporting processes and controls, improve finance and tax function operational performance and manage tax and reporting risk.

In her new role, Schleicher will be responsible for IronPlanet's financial function including accounting, financial reporting, compliance, planning and analysis, treasury and tax. Schleicher has 27 years of experience in her field.

Schleicher has worked in a number of international public accounting firms, including Arthur Andersen, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Grant Thornton. Prior to her nearly eight-year tenure as a partner at Grant Thornton, Schleicher was a partner at SC&H Group and a managing director with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Schleicher started her career at Arthur Andersen and worked there for 15 years, where she was a partner in corporate tax with a focus on corporate transactions, financial reporting for income tax, and business process outsourcing.Schleicher is a Certified Public Accountant and has Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Delaware.
