JLG veterans retire

Manufacturer JLG says goodbye to two long-standing team members Ron Jackson and Jim Thomas, who retire at the end of 2016.

Mr Jackson has been a respected team member for 35 years and JLG said he would be greatly missed by all of his colleagues. He joined the company in, 1981 and was first employed as a driver demonstrator, progressing through the service and sales operation until becoming senior product manager for aerial work platforms.

JLG said it had benefitted from his expertise to develop products for the European market in particular, while all parts of the industry globally had benefitted from his knowledge.

“Ron leaves JLG as one of the most experienced product managers in the company. Ron will be missed by us all,” the company said.

Mr Thomas, meanwhile, joined JLG in 1989, starting as a design engineer, progressing to various management functions within the customer support group.

“Jim’s impact at JLG is felt throughout the business as he became a customer advocate by introducing improvements in product design and manufacturing processes,” JLG said, adding that he would also be missed by everyone.

JLG thanked its dedicated employees for their years of service and wished them all the best for a long retirement.
