Jobs of the Year

15 April 2008

The Job of the Year competitions for rigging and hauling are always a highlight at the SC&RA Annual Conference. Projects completed by SC&RA member companies before the end of 2006 are eligible for the awards, which will be presented during the Awards & Recognition Dinner on Closing Night.

The Rigging Jobs of the Year focus on ingenuity, hard work and a concern for safety. Winners are selected in three categories: Under $150,000, Between $150,000 and $750,000, and Over $750,000.

The Hauling Jobs of the Year stress shipment routing, planning, physical elements, safety considerations and execution. Winners are selected in three categories: Moving, Trucking under 160,000 pounds including cargo, and Trucking over 160,000 pounds including cargo.

If you win, SC&RA will help you spread the word through coverage in magazines and newsletters serving the industry. SC&RA encourages entries from outside the United States.

Entries must be received at the Association office by 21 March. Entry forms and contest hints for the Rigging and Hauling Job of the Year, and other SC&RA competitions, can be downloaded at: www.scranet.org/event/display_event.cfm?Event=16
