Jumbo Shipping has taken ownership of its new 1,800 tonne lifting capacity crane vessel, the Jubilee.

The J1800-class vessel was built at the Damen Shipyards in Galati, Romania. Following final outfitting and voyage preparation Jumbo Jubilee was due to leave Galiti at the end of last week.

Its first destination will be the quayside at Huisman Equipment in Schiedam, the Netherlands, where the two 900 tonne capacity mast cranes will be installed. It will be the fourth J1800-class crane vessel in Jumbo's fleet.

"Jumbo Shipping would like to thank all who were involved in building the vessel, and wishes Captain Sebregts and his crew all the best and a good and safe voyage," said the company.
