Kai Schliephake managing director of JLG Deutschland GmbH is moving to a new job as managing director of the German rental cooperative PartnerLift, he will begin his new role at the beginning of July.

Monika Metzner, who took over the management of PartnerLift in October 2009 after her husband Joachim Metzner, pulled out of the operational business, told the members about the new appointment during the annual conference on 17 and 18 of March. The decision is said to be fully supported by Oliwer Dahms who had been designated as successor of Joachim Metzner.

Monika Metzner will stay with PartnerLift untill 31December 2014 and will be responsible for all administration and organisation; working beside Mr Schliephake.

Mr Schliephake's role will be to develop closer relationships with PartnerLift members and to make further supply agreements with manufacturers. He will also be looking to increase the internationalisation of PartnerLift and will be responsible for further growth of the network to "at least" all countries in Europe in the next two to three years.

Mr Schliephake has been managing director of JLG Deutschland for 11 years. He is said to be leaving JLG on the best of terms with JLG management and his team and he sees leading and developing the PartnerLift cooperation as an appealing opportunity.

PartnerLift has in total more than 12000 machines in the rental fleet of their members - 6000 of which are aerial work platforms - and 1600 employees working in 114 PartnerLift rental depots in Germany and in 11 in other European countries.
