04 June 2014

UK contractor Keltbray has scooped the 2014 Tipper Hauler of the Year Award for its fleet of 36 tippers after proving sustainable ‘growth, social awareness and a continuous willingness to drive change and innovation’, in the opinion of the judging panel. The Award was presented during the Tip-Ex 2014 exhibition, which was held at Harrogate, UK, from 29 to 31 May, 2014

The company’s fleet has increased in size by 30% since 2013 and it has switched to vehicles with the latest Euro 5 compliant engines, which in turn has reduced its nitrous oxide emissions by 40% along with a 10% reduction in CO2 emissions.

According to Keltbray transport manager Terry Good: “We have invested significantly in our tipper fleet and training to ensure we keep driving improvements both in terms of safety, customer service and environmental performance. We are delighted that our efforts have been recognised and see this prestigious award win as evidence of this. At Keltbray we strive to be the best in our sector and at everything we do. We therefore see this as an incentive for us to continue this progressive drive, and ensure we keep at the forefront of industry developments.”
