KHL and Conexpo Latin America partner on road building conference

01 October 2014

KHL Group and its magazine Construction Latin America (CLA) are partnering with the Conexpo Latin America exhibition to organise the Latin American Road Building conference in Santiago, Chile, on Tuesday 20 October, 2015, the day before the start of Conexpo Latin America.

The conference - organised by KHL Group and with Conexpo Latin America as the exclusive conference partner - is for contractors, equipment buyers and suppliers in the region, looking at road building technology, trends in road investment, and case studies of ongoing projects.

The new conference will form part of the education and seminar program being organised by Conexpo Latin America around the show. The exhibition takes place for the first time on 21-24 October, 2015 in Santiago, Chile.

“We are delighted to be partnering with Conexpo Latin America”, said Trevor Pease, president of KHL Americas. “The conference will provide road building professionals in the region with the opportunity to combine a great networking and educational event with a visit to the Conexpo Latin America exhibition.

“Latin America’s road network is receiving hundreds of billions of dollars of inward investment every year and is generating an estimated US$10 billion in annual sales of road building equipment. There is a real need for this kind of specialist conference.”

Melissa Magestro, senior director exhibitions of Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), which is the owner and producer of Conexpo Latin America, said; “KHL and Construction Latin America magazine are strong industry supporters and very knowledgeable about the industry and the region. This conference is an ideal complement to the show, and we value their participation in Conexpo Latin America.”

The conference will take place at the Grand Hyatt Santiago hotel in the north east of the city and a 10 minute taxi ride to the Espacio Riesco exhibition centre, the venue for Conexpo Latin America. For more information on the exhibition visit: www.conexpolatinamerica.com
