Kiloutou buys Île-de-France renter Urbaparc

21 December 2012

Kiloutou Group has acquired France-based rental company Urbaparc. The latter has five branches in the Île-de-France region, providing more than 1500 machines; mainly loaders, excavators and compactors.

The two companies will be operationally independent until the merger is complete. A date for completion has not yet been confirmed. However, the two companies will immediately work with each other to improve the quality of their service, said a company spokesman.

The Urbaparc team will be kept in place to aid the company’s future developments, while Kiloutou will provide the benefits associated with a big group and promote expansion of the business, it said.

Xavier du Boÿs, Kiloutou group CEO, said: “This acquisition is part of Kiloutou’s dynamic growth. It allows the group to strengthen its presence in the public works market in Île-de-France.

Mr du Boÿs added that there would be rapid integration at Urbaparc Kiloutou, with customer service being one of the key issues addressed.

Christian Blavec, Urbaparc chairman and majority shareholder, welcomed the merger, adding that he was confident it would be a success.
