Zurich Airport is carrying out upgrading works for some of its infrastructure at Terminal 2, as passenger numbers continue to rise.

Recent works have seen the refurbishment of access roads for departures and arrivals by main contractor Marti. Flexible support was needed for concreting work on the roadway, and for this Marti opted for Allround Shoring TG 60 from Layher.

The TG 60 system allowed the contractor to provide a vehicle access with a clear width of more than 4 m, and also to match the shoring structure precisely to the existing binding beams, despite restricted spaces.

For the project, the scaffolding erectors from Marti were not only able to optimally match the 7 m high shoring structure to the shape of the already present binding beams, but also to provide the required vehicle access using a lattice made from Allround Shoring Frames TG 60, instead of with steel beams or lattice beams.
