Less is more for Peter Bennie

26 October 2016

Independent construction waste recycler Peter Bennie, based in the south of England, has purchased a RubbleMaster RM90Go compact tracked impact crusher from UK dealer ECY Haulmark - even though director Robert Jackson admits he was sceptical about using smaller crushers.

As well as waste recycling, the company processes various materials for groundworks and road building.

The RM90Go was brought in to replace a 44 t Pegson XA400 jaw crusher. Having watched, and been impressed by, a demonstration of the RM70Go from the RubbleMaster range, Robert opted for this model because of its superior output per hour.

The RM90Go is designed to offer maximum flexibility, weighing 23.6 t with an ability to produce up to 200 t of high end quality material per hour, dependent on material. It is easily transportable on a standard low loader and without the need for a movement order. It also boasts a John Deere engine with a Stage III constant speed, and rates highly on fuel economy.

With only one machine operator loading the machine and one shovel loader collecting the crushed material, man costs can be kept to a minimum. In its first installation the RM90Go was measured as be producing 193 t/hr for more than eight hours a day.
