Liebherr to build batching plants, mixers and cranes in Pune

Liebherr is building a factory in Pune, India that will manufacture concrete truck mixers, batching plants and tower cranes. Truck mixer manufacture is due to start shortly, with full production coming on stream by the middle of the year.

The truck mixer range to be produced in the new location comprises machinery with capacities between 6 and 10 m³, batching plants with capacities between 30 and 60 m³ per hour as well as parts for tower cranes.

The plant will have three production halls with a total size of about 25000 m², on a total area of more than 200000 m² - providing space for future expansion.

The Liebherr Group has two subsidiaries in India, the Liebherr India Private Ltd. (Mumbai) sales company and the new manufacturing entity, and Liebherr CMCtec India Private Limited. Together, they employ more than 150 people. In addition Liebherr has had a joint venture in Bangalore since 2004 for gear cutting machines.
