Lynch Plant in UK orders 88 JCB machines

London-based Lynch Plant Hire has placed a multi-million pound order with JCB for 42 excavators, 40 telehandlers and six backhoe loaders.

The order includes 20 JS220 and 20 JS130 tracked excavators and two wheeled excavators (a JS175W and JS130W).

JCB said Lynch had ordered the excavators in response to increased demand for machines to operate on road and rail contracts. Several of the machines have already been delivered and are working on UK contracts including the M25 motorway widening scheme.

Robert Lynch, director of Lynch Plant Hire, said the company had been offering JCB Loadalls and backhoe loaders for over fifteen years; "When it came to expanding our tracked and wheeled excavator fleet we conducted trials of the leading models using our own operators to carry out the tests.

"We ultimately chose the JCB machines as the operator feedback was very, very positive, particularly regarding smoothness of controls and stability when digging."

Lynch Plant Hire was founded in 1980 and is based in Stanmore near London but has other two other branches, one in the Midlands and one in the South East of England.

It supplies operated and non-operated equipment to the civil engineering, highways, rail, groundworks, new build, demolition, recycling and geotechnical sectors.
