Madek, an official FG Wilson Dealer in the Ukraine, has provided six generator sets as a stand-by power solution for the largest commercial data centre in Ukraine.

Madek engineers have installed two P1375E3 and four P1700P1 generator sets to the Parkovaya Data Centre. All six generator sets meet Tier III emission standards.

The six generator sets were installed in a special compartment housed in the data centre’s engine room. They were synchronised with each other to provide emergency power in the case of a mains failure.

Dmitry Gladkyi, commercial director of Madek, said, “The successful delivery of this power solution for such a high-profile data centre is the latest in Madek’s ever-growing catalogue of projects which have been completed to the highest standard and quality.

"We have developed a reputation as specialists in data centre power provision, with our generator set experts identifying the most effective solutions to ensure clients’ peace of mind.

Madek engineers worked on the design and installation of the automatic refuelling system and of the fuel storage tanks, which have a 40,000-litre capacity, to provide 24-hours, non-stop operation of the generator sets.

“The design and installation of the fire extinguishing system was also an important element of our work, as was the delivery of the synchronization power boards and the cabling of more than 300m of power track 2,500 A,” Gladkyi added.

The total back-up power station capacity is 9550 kVA. Four synchronised P1700P1 units will provide the emergency power for the data centre and two P1375E3 units will supply the power for common data centre infrastructure.
