United Kingdom-based asbestos removal company Clarke’s Environmental – which includes demolition companies among its clients – has appointed Tony Roper as regional manager for Scotland.
Tony has worked in all aspects of asbestos removal in the past 25 years, including reinstatement works and retaining long-term contracts.
As contracts manager and general manager at some of the leading Scottish asbestos abatement brands, he has serviced a range of clients including local authorities and health trusts and the private sector. He was responsible for health and safety, transport, staff deployment, equipment and budgets.
“The new role is both a challenge and an opportunity. Clarke’s Environmental has made an impact in Scotland, with acquisition, recruitment and a growing portfolio of impressive clients,” said Tony.
Last year Clarke’s Environmental completed the takeover of an established Glasgow licensed asbestos removal company and secured a four-year contract with Scotland Excel – a procurement group that manages contracts for products and services for more than 90% of Scottish councils.
Future plans include opening an office in Inverness before 2017, purchasing new premises in North Glasgow and opening a Scottish waste transfer station to mirror the organisation’s English operation.
