Aggreko has announced a number of organisational changes that will take effect from 1 August. The news follows a review of business priorities that started in March, with the full details of the review being announced on 6 August.
The changes include a new structure that will move away the current regional set up to operate as two units.
Aggreko Rental Solutions will incorporate local business in developed markets, while Aggreko Power Solutions will include existing power projects and local businesses in developing markets.
There will also be changes at management level. Asterios Satrazemis, currently regional director for the Americas and a senior manager at Aggreko for the past seven years, will become president of the Rental Solutions business, based in the USA.
The Power Solutions business will be run by Aggreko chief executive Chris Weston on an interim basis until a permanent leader is appointed.
Debajit Das, currently regional director for Asia Pacific and David Taylor-Smith, who has the same role for Europe, Middle East and Africa, will stay through the transition before stepping down.
Mr Weston said: “In recent months we have been conducting a review into our business priorities and I look forward to sharing the output of this review on 6 August.
“As part of this process, we have taken the decision to reorganise the business to be as efficient and as effective as we can be for our customers and our markets.
“I would like to congratulate Asterios on his new appointment and thank David and Debajit for their significant contribution to Aggreko over a number of years, and to personally thank them for the support they have provided since I joined the group in January.
“We wish them both every success for the future."
