Ruthmann’s service division is expanding with the extension of its site at Gross-Gerau with further properties being acquired in Ingolstadt and Berlin.
At the end of 2014 Ruthmann started its major investment programme in after sales service. It was in response to increased orders and demand for the existing cross-brand service segment.
The company now offers repair and orders of equipment produced by other manufacturers. The first such projects have already been completed In Seevetal, near Hamburg, and Gescher, creating significant capacity increases.
At Gross-Gerau, adjacent land is being used to expand the existing seven repair stations by a further three additional ones. This will create an extra 40% capacity at Gross-Gerau for maintenance and repair.
There are more expansive plans for its service stations in Ingolstadt and Borkheide, near Berlin. Ruthmann cannot expand at the existing site in Ingolstadt. Therefore it will build a modern service station with 14 repair areas in Geisenfeld-Ilmendorf, about 18 km away. In Borkheide, land opposite the current site has been acquired to expand the capacity.
Ruthmann’s service network includes eight factory service stations in Germany and Austria and 11 service points, two of which are in France. Already, 25 mobile workshop vehicles are part of the network and its employees more than 100 qualified staff. The manufacturer also provides education and training in this area.
