The Netherlands-based forklift rental company Makkina has purchased aerial work platforms for the first time, with an investment of three machines from Snorkel.

The order for two electric slab scissors lifts, a S3219E and S4732E, as well as a Snorkel A38E electric articulating boom lift, was made at Bauma after Snorkel distributor in The Netherlands Omega invited Makkina to the manufacturer’s stand.

The S3219E and S4732E are from Snorkel’s new hydraulic drive electric scissor lift family, which also includes the new S3215E and S3220E that launched at the show.

Makkina is focused on the rental, sales and service of forklifts into its local market of Kapelle, near Rotterdam.

Jos de Koster, from Omega said, “We are pleased to have made our initial investment in aerial work platforms with Snorkel. The Snorkel brand has a reputation for simplicity and reliability, which is a great fit for our business and our plans to continue the growth of our rental fleet.”
