The prime minister of Malaysia, Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak, took a ride in a construction hoist, supplied by Alimak Hek, to a major rail project in the country.

Alimak Hek supplied an SC 45 FC hoist to main contractor MMC Gamuda KVMRT Sdn Bhd for the Sungai Buloh-Kajang Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Project.

The hoist has been placed at the Cochrane site, which forms part of the project to link Kuala Lumpur with the Klang Valley. The project is set to increase Kuala Lumper’s standing as a major international city.

On 30 May, Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak visited the worksite where he was hoisted down to the tunnel in the SC 45 FC to inspect the tunnel boring machine and officially launch that part of the project.

Three more Alimak SC 45 FC units will be installed as part of the project this year.
