Mammoet help install a new evaporator unit at the Sellafield Nuclear site in Seascale, Cumbria, UK used a tailor-made four-way gantry system

Heavy lift and transport company Mammoet has been awarded the Costain Achieving Excellence Award for Supply Chain Partner of the Year 2013.

The award was presented to the company at the annual Costain Awards Ceremony which took place earlier this month in the UK.

Mammoet received the award for helping with the Evap D Project at the Sellafield Nuclear site in Seascale, Cumbria, UK. For the project Mammoet helped construct a new evaporator unit. The task involved assisting with the transportation, lifting and installation of eleven modules. For the installation of the unit, Mammoet used a tailor-made four-way gantry system, a company spokesperson said.

The five year project was completed in 2013.
