Manlift offers IPAF training in Middle East

16 June 2009

Manlift Group, the largest access rental company in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has become a fully certified International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) training centre, offering IPAF-certified operator training.

Dubai-based Manlift is only the second IPAF training centre in the Gulf, joining Lavendon Group's Middle East rental business Rapid.

Manlift said it would offer training throughout the Gulf region, covering UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar and Kuwait. The company has a purpose-built training centre in Dubai, and it can offer training at a client's site if it has appropriate facilities.

Clive Illingworth, Manlift Group technical & training manager said being IPAF-certifies meant that it could "train to European standards, which in return enables the operator to operate machines safely, thus reducing accidents and preventing damage to equipment".

Andrew Gatling, Manlift's sales director for the Middle East, said the initiative showed its commitment "to delivering the highest levels of service and equipment to our customers within the UAE, Qatar and the GCC [Gulf Cooperation Council] area as a whole".

Manlift Group was founded in 2006 and is part of the Riwal group in the Netherlands. It has a fleet of over 1000 aerial platforms and also rents generators.
