Manlift raises Gandhi artists

More images have become available of the largest ever mural of India’s preeminent leader of Indian nationalism, Mahatma Gandhi.

It covers a 150 ft by 38 ft area and took German graffiti Artist Hendrik Beikirch and local Delhi artist, Anpu Varkey five days to complete.

Covering the side of the New Delhi Police Headquarters, the two artists reached great heights – creatively and physically – thanks to regional company Manlift and its Genie S-125 telescopic boom.

The artwork formed part of the New Delhi Street Art Festival, held at the start of 2014 to coincide with the anniversary of Ghandi’s death.

The Manlift Group, founded in 2006, operates a fleet of 1400 machines across the Middle East Africa and Asia.
