Crane rental company Megalift, based in Bremen, Germany, has added a Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1 mobile crane to its fleet.

The 750 tonne capacity model was ordered complete with the full range of equipment, a company spokesperson said.

Company owner Bernd Preuße, said, “The positive experience we have had with Liebherr cranes made the decision to buy another large machine an easy one.”

Later this month, the company will also take delivery of an LTM 1200-5.1 and an LTM 1130-5.1, complete with the VarioBase variable support base system. “The variable support base is a major step towards enhanced safety. We believe this is the main benefit of the new system. Our fleet is increasingly becoming a Liebherr fleet,” Preuße said.

The handover of the new model at the Liebherr facility in Ehingen, Germany, was attended by Bernd Preuße and his operations manager Jörg Machner. The LTM 1750-9.1 joins five other Liebherr cranes in Megalift’s fleet. It will be used for erecting concrete towers for the latest generation of wind turbines.
