Metso has launched a housing design that cuts service downtime, allows recycling equipment to be maintained and makes it easier to keep the machinery in top shape.

Available for almost every Metso Lindemann shredder, it means multiple maintenance operations can be performed quickly and at the same time.

The main improvement is the detachable front wall. This provides easier access to wear parts and speeds up the replacement of worn components.

When lifting the front wall out of position with a crane, the rotor adjustment and the replacement of wear plates can be handled together.

Operators can minimise maintenance downtime by acquiring a second Metso front wall set on stock. This makes it possible to replace the whole front wall and its worn parts immediately, and production restarts with dispatch.

Users can then perform the necessary maintenance during production. In the next service break, the maintained set goes back into action.

The solution is available as a retrofit, as part of a complete new middle housing, or as standard for new Metso Lindemann machines.
