Middle East dealer visits Snorkel

Ahmed Kanoo, a senior manager from Kanoo Machinery of Saudi Arabia, was visiting the Vertikal Days exhibition as part of a trip to the UK. This was primarily arranged in order for him to see the production facility at Snorkel's Vigo's Centre and view Snorkel's new A62JRT articulated booms.

Mr Kanoo told Access International that he had greatly enjoyed his visit to the facility, "It was good to see the whole production from beginning to end. It has given me additional insight into the design and operation of the machines."

At Vertikal Days Mr Kanoo's major focus was to see the A62JRT, which is scheduled to go into production later this year and to evaluate it for Kanoo Machinery. Kanoo Machinery is the official Snorkel distributor in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Oman.

Mick Wright, Director of Snorkel Middle East, hosted both the factory tour and the visit to Vertikal Days. "We were understandably proud to have a member of the Kanoo family visit our headquarters," said Mr Wright. "Mr Kanoo complimented us on the revised lay-out of our production lines, which are integral to our plans to increase output and reduce lead times across the board."

Another of Snorkel's Middle East dealers was also at the show: Tim Richards from Al-Laith, Dubai.

Designed for rough terrain applications, the A62JRT shares a common chassis with Snorkel's new 14m (46ft) and 20m (66ft) telescopic booms, helping to simplify service and repair work. The lift has a maximum platform height of 18.8m (61ft 8ins) and up-and-over clearance of 9m (29ft 6ins). It also has a large platform of 2.4m x 1m (96ins X 39ins) and the a compact stowed length of 8.5m (27ft 10ins).
