Dawes Rigging & Crane Rental, a member of the All Erection & Crane Rental Family of Companies in the USA, won several awards at the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA) Annual Conference.

In addition to winning the SC&RA 65-Year Longevity Award, six Dawes crane operators won the Crane Operator Safety Award after completing 10,000 man-hours without injury or illness. They were Darren Alsum, Danne Bubolz, Steven Gust, Jerry Knutson, Scott LaMay, and Dennis Reinke.

Beth O’Quinn, SC&RA vice president, said, “Accumulating such a safety record is an impressive accomplishment and is deserving of industry recognition. This milestone is indicative of company and individual commitment to safety.”

Dawes’ 48-state authority trucking division, DST, earned two safety awards: the Transportation Group Zero Accidents Award and the 2013 Transportation Safety Contest Winner Award.

“The SC&RA Awards programme recognises the commitment your company has to the industry and to its employees,” said Douglas Ball, SC&RA vice president, transportation. “These are awards to be truly proud of.”

Steve Freckmann, Dawes general manager, said, “We are honoured by SC&RA’s recognition of our safety efforts. We congratulate our employees and thank them for their dedication to the safe operation of their machines and their unwavering support of our corporate safety programme.”
