NCC expands in Norway

28 June 2012

Norwegian contractor NCC has acquired OKK, a housing and commercial property specialist which operates in Oslo and the Drammen region of southwest Oslo.

OKK generates annual sales of approximately SEK1 billion (€113 million) and has 350 employees. NCC said the deal was in line with its growth strategy in Norway, where it says the construction market is strong.

NCC CEO Peter Wågström said, "The development resulting from the high rate of population growth caused by urbanisation and the overall need for additional housing units in Norway are factors contributing to the strong growth expected in both Oslo and the Drammen region."
