Specialized transport equipment manufacturer Scheuerle has launched a new non-cassette carrier for the transport industry.

The new carrier has 24 steered axles, 48 tyres, and measures 25 metres long. It has been designed for the transportation of palletless 24 x 4.5 metre long packed metal sheets, the manufacturer said. It can also be used in combination with a transport ship as part of a roll-on roll-off concept.

The trailer is designed with SPMT pendulum axle technology and has a payload of 250 tonnes. Power comes from a 338 kW MAN six-cylinder diesel engine. In addition, the carrier is fitted with a camera and radar system.

The first two non-cassette carrier transporters ordered have been delivered to Kübler.
