Ammann deputy CEO Hans-Christian Schneider will assume overall responsibility for the company on 1 January 2013.

Hans-Christian Schneider, currently deputy CEO of road building equipment manufacturer Ammann, is set to take the reins as CEO on 1 January, 2013.

Mr Schneider will take over from current CEO Ulrich Meyer, who was been in charge of the company since September 2010. Mr Meyer will join the board of directors in January.

Mr Schneider is the son of Johann Schneider-Ammann, the fifth-generation of the family to be in charge of the company. Mr Schneider’s appointment as CEO extends the tradition followed over the past 143 years by this Swiss family and company into the sixth generation.

Ammann said Mr Schneider, who has been deputy CEO since January 2012 and board member since 2010, would remain on the board of directors after he takes over operational responsibility for group.
