Terex has introduced a number of WS transverse cutting tools

Terex has introduced seven hydraulic transverse cutting units into the North American marketplace intended for use on the company’s excavators and backhoe loaders for excavation, scaling and demolition work.

The WS15, WS30, WS45N, WS60N, WS90N, WS120N and WS150N all feature heavy-duty spur gears and bearings powered by a low-speed high torque hydraulic drive motor ranging in power from 24 hp to 90 hp, with hydraulic flow ranging from 8 gpm to 158 gpm. Their transmissions feature patented gear reduction that boosts cutting power.

Three standard heads are available – excavation, scaling and demolition. The demolition head works best in medium-hard rock and concrete, says the company.
