New educational programme from Bentley Systems

Bentley Systems has announced the creation of the Bentley Education program, which encourages the development of future infrastructure professionals.

The Bentley Education program is currently available in the UK, Australia, Singapore, Ireland, and Lithuania. There are plans to expand to the US, Canada, Mexico, Latin America, and India by mid-summer.

The programme grants students free access to Bentley infrastructure engineering applications and proven learnings through the new Bentley Education portal. Students and educators from around the globe can register on the Education portal and connect to infrastructure organisations and resources to start their engineering career.

The portal also serves as a gateway for individual students or teams of two to submit their innovative concepts to Bentley’s Future Infrastructure Star Challenge 2021. The global competition is open to students from community colleges, polytechnics institutes, and universities. Students advancing in the challenge have a chance to work on various elements of modelling, designing, scheduling, and visualisation to build a design model based on their ideas that improve quality of life.

“With many nations and institutions recommitting education as one of the top priorities for a post pandemic world, we are excited to launch this long-awaited and responsive program during these critical times,” said Katriona Lord-Levins, chief success officer, Bentley Systems.

“We want to inspire and encourage students to think about infrastructure engineering as a possible career path and expose these young minds to the vast field of opportunities that lie ahead of them.”
