New Grove RT for Europe

Production is underway of Grove's newest rough terrain crane, the RT530E-2, at the Manitowoc Crane Group (MCG) factory in Niella Tanaro, Italy.

The 30 tonne lifting capacity RT made its first public appearance at the SAIE exhibition in Bologna, Italy in October. It has a four section, 29 m boom and a maximum tip height of 44.5 m with the model's 13.7 m offsettable telescopic swing-away extension. Alternatively, a 7.9 m fixed swingaway extension extends tip height to 38.9 m.

Frans Vanwinkel, MCG vice president of sales and marketing in EMEA, said demand for rough terrain cranes in the region is increasing. “The demand for rough terrain cranes has risen steadily in Europe over the last two years and in Italy that popularity is equally strong. Our rough terrain crane factory in Italy is now in its second year of production and we are excited about the potential for this latest model.”

It is Powered by a six-cylinder 119 kW Cummins QSB 6.7 litre diesel engine.
