New Hiab loaders for US Army

26 February 2009

Hiab will deliver 292 loader cranes, newly designed for the US Army, to BAE Systems.

The Hiab 222ATF-1 is to be used in the US Army's Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV) wrecker machines range. "It represents the most modern load handling technology for military use in extreme operating conditions," said Hiab, part of the Cargotec Corporation.

BAE Systems is a global defence and aerospace company delivering a full range of products and services for air, land and naval forces, as well as advanced electronics and information technology.

Delivery of the equipment will start during the first quarter of 2009, with most of the deliveries taking place during the year.
