HÜNNEBECK italia has supplied € 500000 of formwork during construction of several bridges, tunnels and stations at Bresia, Italy's new Metro.

Choking city centre traffic levels meant the city needed to invest in a new fast, efficient, safe and, more importantly, clean rapid transit system.

Due for completion in May 2008 after 12 months of construction, it will consist of 5,7 km of underground tunnels, 3,8 km of covered cuttings, 1,7 km of above ground track, 1,7 km of bridges and 17 stations.

Contractor Co. Gen. Costruzzioni has used Hünnebeck's formwork, including its Rasto system, to construct retaining and partition walls and solid concrete platforms at several stations. For the solid platforms it is being used with Hünnebeck's ID 15 frame props, H 20 wooden beams and three-ply form linings of varying thicknesses.

Construction of a 1,7 km viaduct – 46 spans – soffit and edge table forms are being used supported by heavy-load towers, including its T 50 girders and S 50 support towers.
